ICTAZ hosted the first ever Fifa 18 tournament on the 12th March, 2019. The Tournament comprised of 22 registered players. It was an action packed day with plenty of goals Scored. A total of 136 goals were scored with Muleya Samuel Scooping the top scorer prize with his 17 goals scored at the tournament.
The Tournament had two rounds of Knockouts with each player playing a home and away leg before the final 6 battled it out in the group stage were the winners of the group would face each other in the final. The group stage was the most intense and exciting moment of the tournament with group A being filled with the best knockout round players battling it out for the rights to play in the final. Group A comprised of Angel Chisefu, Samuel Muleya and Edwin(A.K.A the Dark Knight) while group B comprised of Makungu Mukapa, Danny Mpundu and Nathan Musupila who edged qualification to the group stage as the best loser.
The group stage had a total of 37 goals scored with the most scored by group A. The Dark Knight started with an impressive first round defeating Samuel and Angel 2-1, and 3-0 respectively. Everyone thought it was done and dusted until the "wonder kid" Angel who was unstoppable with Napoli in the Knockout round, decided to switch team to the "I Biaconeri" which guided him to an impressive hard fought 3 -2 victory over the Dark Knights Bayern Munich that saw him undefeated from their on to book his place in the final were he faced ICTAZ's very own Nathan Musupila.
The final was intense with Angels Juventus taking a 3-0 lead at halftime. In the second half Nathan made changes to his Real Madrid side that proved fruitful as he managed to reduce the deficit to one goal by the 72nd minute. In the dying minutes of added time Nathan's Benzema had a close range header saved by Angels Buffon and Juventus stood strong to win the game 3-2.
The Winner of the ICTAZ FIFA 18 Competition was Angel Kayala Chisefu(1st year Non-Quota) who walked away with a K500.
Second place: Nathan Musupila(3rd Year Computer Scince).
Third place: Edwin(1st Year).
Fourth place: Makungu Mukupa.
